Cargo parking.. how to get it?

Recommended Posts

It is a two step process. The aircraft in question must have the following two lines added to it's aircraft.cfg file: (Use Notepad)atc_parking_types=Ramp_Cargoatc_parking_codes=XXXAnd the Cargo parking spot must have a matching Parking Code (plus be of the proper radius). The XXX shown above can be any three letter code but it must match the code in the Afcad. You would need to be sure that you do not use a code which is used by passenger airliners such as COA for Continental or AAL for American etc.Hope this helps.

Also depending on the airport you have to request 'xxxxx parking' - as ATC does not recognize the term 'cargo' as far as I know.regards,Mark

Thanks for your suggestions, I going to try it anyway, see if it responds to user planes to this way..Taxi to parking often gives you the cargo area, but sometimes to the GA.JohanA LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION, AND A LITTLE MORE ACTION PLEASE..http://www.jdserver.mine.nu/johan

As mentioned above, at airports where I land regularly, I used AFCAD2 to group the GA parking areas. At KSAT (where I live) the cargo area is named East Parking. The GA spots near the terminals are called South Parking and the parking spots near 12L/30R are named North Parking.AI seems not to be affected at all by these changes. The change that I see is that instead of default ATC offering we three choices:o Taxi to Gateso Taxi to Parkingo Taxi to FuelIt now offers:o Taxi to North Parkingo Taxi to East Parkingo Taxi to South ParkingNow I can park where I choose.R-
