Removing the VC...

Why the designers included>virtual elements in 2D views I have no idea. Well, the answer is - there is no choice! The only way to not have "virtual elements in 2D views" is to not even have a virtual cockpit at all......it's a binary choice really. That is why for some of the Eaglesoft products, we've included a "Lite" model version which does not have a 3d virtual cockpit at all.

"The only way to not have "virtual elements in 2D views" is to not even have a virtual cockpit at all..."-------------Hi Bill-I wasn't aware of that. I guess most multi monitor simmers would say Amen to no virtual cockpit at all! Perhaps PMDG has the answer- A tick box to "Show Virtual Cockpit" if you want it- or not.Cheers Alex ReidDreamFleet Bonanza over Vancouver Island & BC Gulf Islandshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/191393.jpg

Developers please take note-455 views in 4 days on the topic of getting rid of Virtual artifacts.2D is apparently far from dead!!!!!!!!!!And with the advent of one single large monitor capable of multiple views plus COMPLETE panels- perhaps 2D IS the future!Alex Reid

If developers are indeed reading, take not that I can't get rid of my 3D panels fast enough -- never could. Eye candy to me.BUT, to each his own.

Guest ThrottleUp

On a similar note to Speedbyrd's question another simmer once asked a very interesting question and I do hope that developers take it on board :)Its a seemingly small and nit-picking issue but I think its a good question: the option to remove the seats from a VC. How many times have you zoomed back as far as it will go and then moved back as far as you can to get that perfect view of your VC panel...and then the back of Mr. Seat appears http://www.planet-smilies.de/boese/boese_003.gifFlight1 has this neat setup-utility that came with their ATR. Here you can set the colour of the instrument panels, window reflections, wingviews viewpoints etc. It would be neat I think if in a utility like this there was an option "Disable seats"!!!:)
