graphics are deteriorated

the livery of my aircraft seem like they were made of watercolours and now rained off. I have recently had to reformat my computer, and although FS9 is on an external drive all types of niggly problems have arisen including what you describe, so before I re install FS9 I would also be interested in any expert advice.

Hi Erik,I'll respond here because no one else has, but be aware that it has been a while since I've used FS9. Got to Options > Settings and get to the Display page. Look for a slider marker Global Texture Size or similar wording. Move that all the way to the right. The caption will say "Massive" at that point and your problem should be solved. If performance has suffered, move the slider to the left, step by step, until an acceptable compromise is achieved.R-

you can also try moving the mip-map slider to the right. if you start getting moire artifacting on the buildings, move it back to the left a little.
