Color Start=244, 244, 247, 200Color End=249, 249, 249, 255should be responsible for the color. IIRC the first 3 values are RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values with a range of 0-255 each. Can't remember what the last value is, transparency maybe?Try something like this which should give you red smoke,Color Start=255, 100, 100, 200Color End=255, 100, 100, 255...or this should give you blue,Color Start=100, 100, 255, 200Color End=100, 100, 255, 255...or green,Color Start=100, 255, 100, 200Color End=100, 255, 100, 255I think - and I'm not around my FS computer to test it out so I may be completely wrong :) .Also, I believe there are already effects provided for red and blue, look for fx_smoke_b.fx and fx_smoke_r.fx or something like that. There's a special effects SDK available that sheds some light on what each of the individual lines do in the .fx file.Jim

Hi Jim, Thanks for the quick reply, Well i will play around with the numbers, its been driving me Nuts as i am trying to get black exhaust smoke but i'm not sure what the combination the numbers are, i see 225 max in each line for RGB ok but not what they would be for black, David "opa" Mashall gave me a link last week to Avsim Library for smoke there was 21 downloads but all for colors other than black!! Am i right do you know that whatever the smoke line says in the aircraft cfg file say fx_smoke_w then the smoke file in the effects folder with the name fx_smoke_w should make smoke in that aircraft, I hope i have made myself clear!! Cheers.

helloI think though not 100% sure that if you use black ie 255,255,255Fs treats it as transparent , there is certainly no harm in trying and if you dont see any thing you can always lower the numbers by one or twoMark
