Garmain 530

Does anybody know the difference between Reality-xp Garmain 530 andFSavionics Garmain 530. Fsavionics have come with version 2.0 and Reality still offers version 1.1. But is it the same Garmain530 or is it two different products.I am very confused with this matter????????????????RGDS

They both model the same GPS, but since they're 2 seperate developers, their version numbers won't match up. I'm not sure as to the differences between the two, though. I'll let someone else answer that.J.C. HowellPPL-ASELInstrument Rating student

Well I own the FSavionics GPS and I can tell you that it is truley a great product. I cant give you any information about the Reality product other than visually it looks a little different than mine.

But is it the same Garmain530 or is it >two different products. >I am very confused with this matter???????????????? >RGDS The one from Reality-XP is a true gauge, and may be installed in the panel of any a/c.The one from FSAvionics is a 'stand alone' program that will run in a separate window (or monitor/networked computer) from FS2k2.Because both products rely on the Garmin Trainer program, folks with 98, 98SE or ME will have problems and may not be able to use either program... :(

easiest thing to do is go to http://www.fsavionics.com/ to see everything there is to know about their products. Yesterday, a new version 2.0 was released. be sure to look at the FS Avionics forums to see all the details and features of the FS Avionics implementationhttp://www.reality-xp.com/main.html to see about all the features of the Reality-XP implementation of the Garminwww.garmin.com ... to get all the info about the REAL Garmin 530 and 430 .. you can download the user manuals for both for FREE and also get the trainers for both the 530 and 430 for FREE.I use both, the reality garmin for "panel instllation" in planes like the DF Cardinal, the F1 Golden Eagle .. etc. I use the FS Avionics 530 or 430 in regional or large jets and turbos which do NOT have an MCDU or FMS.Excellent Excellent products, both of them!!!
