Here's a couple more (vista's sidebar seems to be complicating my screen shooting). This is VE. The Yellowstone National Park survey continues. This is a run south east from Mammoth to the Canyon. There are no roads out there and I had really no idea what to expect. Cresting every ridge line was a new adventure. Can you see the Buffalo in that meadow? Well, maybe . . . Heck, if I was a buffalo, that's just where I'd be! The canyon shots are the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. I'm not sure of what mesh FSX is providing. Better mesh might clean this up a bit, but there have been times when it seems that canyon's wall rocks really "pop" in. The screen refreshes can take quite a while (10-30 minutes), but the results can be just startling. My poor ol P4/2.8, 6600gt is about maxed out, but it's doin' it.Just south of here is the Grand Teton National Park. I have a tourist photo that looks across the city of Jackson to the Tetons from the top of Snow King. Buzzed on over there and landed in about the same place I took the picture. That blue/green of the meadow and the river you see in the screenies here is for real. Jackson's has the Snake River running by and has the same look. That's ReaLly he way those meadows aCtuaLly look. It seems to me the sim shot was more accurate (color wise) than my actual photo. This stuff is magic. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172952.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172953.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172954.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172955.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172956.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172957.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172958.jpg

And some FS9 comps. This was all pre-cached with FSX on the previous run. Tileproxy was working away, but seems to have more time for rendering the tiles . . . and keep in mind this is a single core, P4 system. Note the jet at 190 knots? Not too bad. It was almost keeping up. A couple of second pause snapped things right in. I loaded up some FSG 10 meter mesh. That seemed to help the definition a bit. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172964.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172965.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172966.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172968.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172969.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172970.jpgHere we are back at Mammoth, but it was a different story. This was all pre-cached too, Don't know what was happening here. Bad tile-ation effect.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172971.jpgHere's the area with FS9. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172972.jpgAnd the same spot with FSX. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172973.jpg

Huh. The "tile-ation" is worrysome ;) I've had FS9 shuffle a couple of tiles on me as well. I haven't found the trigger to this misbehaviour yet.The FS9 version looks very good also, but you can't go as low as with FSX.Christian

I'm a scenery-junkie for sure. And TileProxy is certainly the hottest add-on that's currently available. Here a few shots of my first flights:Confluence of Colorado and Paria River, Arizona, USA (GE):http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/173039.jpgMont Blanc, France (GE):http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/173040.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/173041.jpgThanks a lot for this great program, Christian! I didn't think that it is possible to generate scenery on the fly. But you made it. Congratulations!Blue SkiesGottfried

Allright! All your screenshots are pretty amazing. Who needs FSX anymore? ;-)

Are those FS9 screenies? I thought it wasnt able to do the high detail tiles? I might blow the dust off the old girl later on and try it out :D
