Hi Sheva,Are you sure FS isn't still loading? Depending on your setup, it can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes for all the textures to load, during which time the FS "progress window" pauses for a long time at certain load percentages. At 52-53% is where FS9 in particular first stops for a time to load the many tiles requested. To verify whether TP is still loading and everything is as should be always start FS in "windowed" mode so you can monitor TP's progress as illustrated in the screenshot below: http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174614.jpgTo get FS to start in "windowed" mode every time, just make sure you SHUT IT DOWN in windowed mode each time you leave an FS session. This way if there's an error in the load, lockouts, or other anomalies you will know by monitoring the TP load window. It's a good way to see your tile request data and other TP activities when you tweak your settings to optimize the program. Once in FS you can toggle between windowed to full screen mode by pressing "Alt+Enter".

Thanks for answering that one. You're providing some excellent community service there with your web site and the INI file you're hosting.

What location are you trying to load and with what server? My suspicion is the area isn't well represented for the chosen texture provider images in that area. And, if it IS represented, perhaps not at the resolution that FS is requesting...or the server data could be corrupted as well. When flying near the Mexican border for instance using Y**** Maps (best for USA coverage), I had similar errors. When I flew north they stopped. It's always a good idea to PREVIEW the area you wish to fly in a stadard web browser by checking out how well (and at what resolution and color) an area is represented by the three major mapping services TP uses. Choose the one you like best. http://maps.google.comhttp://maps.live.comhttp://maps.yahoo.com(Once there, choose the "Satellite" image tabs to see the aerial textures.) If it's not obvious that's the problem, try changing your chosen texture service in the ProxyUser.ini file (as explained here: http://www.edtruthan.com/tileproxy/ini or, try changing locations and see if the errors continue.

I am worried about TP continuously losing the connection to FS9. This happened to me only on occasion. But here it's like ... after every single tile! And the missing metadata error message would normally only occur if previous versions of Tileproxy have created the World folder, followed by an upgrade to TP Beta 5.

Speaking of which, I usually get the "disconnect" indication anywhere from every 2 to 10 "packets" of textures, but the "reconnect" seems virtually instantaneous, and texture loading continues just fine, so it seems not to reduce the overall function of TP, with the possible exception that the initial tile access rate starts low on the next request...but that seems to be normal anyway...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174632.jpg

Yes, doesn't seem to work for you. 25 minutes ot load 144 tiles. In fact it should be more like 5 minutes to load 20000 tiles. Something is interfering with Tileproxy on your machine. I don't know what and why... sorryChristian
