What is "simconnect.cfg" . . . ?

Hi, I noticed, via Filemon, that during startup Tileproxy is looking in all possible places for a file called "simconnect.cfg".I did a search and there is no such file anywhere on my computer to be found.So, what's this file about?? Is it needed for functioning properly?I reinstalled Tileproxy and reinstalled it . . . no such file has been created so far.Any information is welcomedGreetings Karsten

I know what "Simconnect" is - and I do have a "simconnect.cfg" file - but it is associated with ActiveSky, not TPBarry

Interesting, for I have ActiveSky installed . . . But there is also a file called simconnect.msi, that can be found within Tileproxy. That's why I thought maybe there is a simconnect.cfg created during the installation . . . and mine was missing.Maybe Christian can drop a line on that issue.Greetings Karsten

An external, .EXE based SimConnect client, when connecting to FSX, will first look for a file called SimConnect.cfg in one of 3 locations (the current app directory, the logged in users Documents directory, the All Users Documents directory), and if it doesn't find one, then uses values from the registry.This allows SimConnect clients to be configured at 3 levels (ie each app has its own settings, each user has their own settings, each machine has its own settings) - this is mostly useful for SimConnectg clients running on a second machine and connecting to FSX over the network, or at least apps that can be run either on the same machine or another machine from FSX.
