First of all, it is bad netiquette to post in all caps. That means your yelling if you didn't know. =) Also, this belongs in your other post, not in a new thread, as this is a follow up on your other post.Sounds like it is a bum install of DX 9.0. I have never heard of such a thing before. You get the 9.0a release? Or the 9.0? M$ pulled the 9.0a release for some odd reason, and if you have 9.0a that could be why your box is acting funny.I would try downloading DX 9.0 again, and installing, and see what happens. Make sure to set a system restore point that way you may go back to your previous version of DX if need be.Please, don't do what I say just because I say it, wait until someone agrees with me ;-)Good Luck, hopefully this time no bum advice from me =)

PiFlot; Good to hear you got it running. What's the new system like? On the matter of DX, I'd stay with what you have till you need to upgrade to DX9. Then set a restore point when you need to. DX9 won't help in FSim anyway.

Was it DX9 or was it the fact you may not have been running Cat Drivers that were DX9 Compatible. There have bben posts in other forums about people who have done just what I speak of and experienced just what you speak of. If I remember correctly your running a 9700 Correct?. If thats the case you can stick w DX8 but personally I'm running DX9 w the Latest Omega Drivers and experience the same FPS you do. Are you running the latest Hyperion Drivers w your chipset?. You find that removing DX9. Removing the current drivers you are using and reinstalling the VIA drivers first will result in a more stable platform. There is actually a white paper floating around about the correct way to install DX9 and ATI drivers w VIA chipsets. 1: VIA 4in1's 2: DX9 3: Latest Vid Card drivers or if your running DX8, the drivers of your choice. Glad your happy now though.Bobby
