Try the 747 with the FSX weather set to clear/no weather. If that fixes it then get a register copy of FSUIPC4 for FSX and use it to smooth the weather. The FSX weather is terrible and causes major problems with the high fidelity simulaton. No indication of speed on the PFD? Do you mean it sticks to a value like 30 kts? If you are using Vista make sure you have the current version of the 747X, if you just bought it then you should have the current version. No V speeds means the FMS has not been set up correctly during pre-flight. Make sure you have selected a departure runway, set performance and thrust pages and accepted the Vspeeds on the Takeoff Ref page. Read section 12 of the manual if you are new. Also, please sign with your real name in this forum. Thank you.

To fix the speed problem, please download the latest version from PMDG. That should fix this problem. After you upgrade, let's see what the next problem is. There are a lot of folks here that can help with questions on the FMS. Be advise tho that everyone will expect you to do some homework to get what is available in the manuals. For now, please update your 747X.

That's for sure.Once you take care of the latest version, it might be best to follow a PMDG Tutorial Flight to the letter. That way one of us who has completed one of the flights will be able to understand exactly what you did. To me, it sounds like the FMS was programmed incorrectly along with something else.Try one of the tutorial flights, write it all down step by step, and when and how the errors started. That'll help us to help you.Cheers,Kyle
