ATC Background noise

Recommended Posts

Whenever the pilot speaks there is no static in the background. However, whenever ground, tower or ATC talk there is static in the background. Does anyone know what causes this and how to get rid of it?

Are you hearing, what seems to be, other voices in the background? If so, then Microsoft did that on purpose and there is no way to get rid of it that I know of. They did it to distinguish the ATC voice from a pilot's voice because, with th limited number of voice sets available, the controller and the pilot often share the same voice. R-

When talking on a real radio, the voices on the other end don't come in crystal clear. Why would they on a flight SIMULATOR? ;)

I think you need to decompile the default ATC 'USEnglishBig.gvp' file (using the ATCVoicePack decompiler)and replace the 'Background_ Loop_Controller' wav file which I believe is 'wavcontrol1.wav' with silence.I'll try and find time to do it and upload a fix sometime.
