Pss Nav Database Update

hi guys just tried updating my dash 8 FMC database to 0812 in FSX i had to manually copy and replace the files in simobjects/pss/Navdata with the new ones they all copyed over sweet, but the database still says its using to old JAN 01 database how can that be if i just replaced the database with the new ones any ideas????

What was your source for the navdata? All of my .dat files are "headed" with airac cycle info.DaveFly PGV!
