2d Panel

Recommended Posts

is there any way to "tilt" a 2d panel down, so I can see more of the runway.I've gotten the Posky 747-200 set up in fsx, and I found a decent 747 classic panel that works fairly well. The only problem is that with it, I can't see the runway at all on approach or after rotation, since the "window" part of the panel is high up on the screen. Is there any way I can "tilt" the viewdirection down? I kind of want something where I can look around with mouseview or the hatswitch, but keep the panel infront of me?

The (shift)/Control-Q is what is described in the documentation but if you are comfortable with changing the Cameras.cfg file you CAN adjust the operation of the 2D Camera to something more flexible. If you edit the parameters in Camera Definition.001:PanPbhAdjust = OrdinalPanPbhReturn = Trueto readPanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = Falseand also add the following lines:PitchPanRate=8PanAcceleratorTime=0you will be able to tilt the view down using the tophat smoothly. The pan rate of 8

Some panels can be moved and resized with the mouse. There is also an option to add transparency to the 2D panel, but it affects framerates. The best option is to use the virtural 3D cockpit and set the eyepoint and zoom for best visibility.
