I have FSX accel installed. I'm trying to setup use sim connect. I follow the instructions that came with ASA for network computers, but it won't work. The FS9 version of ASA works over the FSwide connection. Is there anyway to ditch simconnect and use FSX and ASA over fswide??? I keep getting message "Simconnect Client SP2 not found". But if I run the AI traffic program, it shows connected to FSX.Bill M

Yes it is.Bill M
Ok, so from your ASA computer you are able to open up Windows Explorer and open both the FSX main directory and the AppData directory and see the files in there on your FSX computer right? Also, did you map these folders on your ASA computer to a lettered drive, like X: or G: or something?Steve

Same or similar problem here. FSX SP2, ASA running on a networked computer. Drives mapped as per the installation instructions and config files in all the right locations with correct content, I think. The AI SimConnect sample application works fine.Error message appears in a separate window when the green bar on the splash screen is almost all the way to the right. Message text is: "Simconnect Client SP2 Not Found. You must have FSX SP1 or SP2 SimConnect Client installed in order to use FSX mode with ASA. Please go to ...".After pressing "OK" to get rid of the error message ASA completes loading. Near the top of the output window is the text "SimConnect found and initialized", and a bit further down is "SimConnect SP2 instantiated!". ASA connects to FSX and (from the limited testing I've done) appears to work correctly.Tom

Hi GuysI've just spent the day installing ASA and the various SDK-stuff needed - what a mess Microsft has made out of this. My hat off to you for even trying to make a solution based on SimConnect!Well, to the point: I too had the 'missing simconnect client' message, but I even had 2 of them, basically saying the same - and nothing worked! I then discovered that I had the wrong (ver 1) client installed. Once I remedied that, the AI Traffic test worked. I then tried ASA, but still got an error message - but only 1 this time, and everything seems to work now!I'm fairly happy with ASA, but the old 933MHz PC i used to run ASV on takes around 5 minutes to get ASA into gear! Actually I think I'm going to try to port it into a virtual machine on a 3GHz+ PC I have.BRGDSSven Sorensen, EKCH
