Level D 767 And Aircraft Lighting In General

Recommended Posts

Guest xstevex

Hey everyone. Im curious if there is a particular lighting fix for the Level D 767 and the other AI aircraft on FS9. The lighting seems weak to me. The strobes are not strobe like. Im looking for something more realistic. The nav lights seem far too bright also. The aircraft I currently have were downloaded via Avsim. Thanks for the replies.

I use a payware app called Shockwave 3D Lights Redux, from A2A Simulations, and they look amazing.

While Shockwave lights are, without a doubt, an amazing improvement over FS9 defaults, it is important to note that strobes and navigation lights will not work properly on flexing wings (they will remain stationary and will not move along with the wing flex). That's why LDS and all other payware sims that have models with flexing wings use, for the lack of a better word, crappy strobe and nav effects.

That is absolutely true... I didn't even think about wing flex when I wrote that.Yes, Shockwave lights are a bit out of place, during flight, on aircraft that have wing flex modelled. They look great on the ground. Thanks for stepping in, Mack!
