Asa - Ias Drops To Zero!

Hi all - and a happy new year!I have a severe problem when running ASA: Since I have installed ASA for FSX (XPack) the IAS drops to zero quite frequently when ASA is running. If I save the flight and close FSX, then close ASA and restart the saved flight, it is sometimes better but sometimes IAS drops again to zero. But if I open the saved flight (without ASA running) and activate the FSX Real Weather, the problem is gone. The IAS also comes back, when I close ASA during the flight (which is not recommended) and activate FSX weather (real or predefined). I have also installed FSUIPC, but deactivating it, does not cure the problem. So it really looks like a ASA_FSX weather problem.Maybe somebody experienced the same problem and has a solution?kind regardsHarrymy specs: Vista x64, Q6700@3600, 4G, Nvidia2600, FSX(Xpack), GEX, UTX, FTX, FEX, REX, ASA, ...

Make sure you have pilot heat turned on. Sounds like your pitot tubes are freezing up ;-) If you don't want this happening in the future, turn off the icing feature.

I've had this problem too. I had it in ASX also.I can confirm that pitot heat was turned on but more importantly in the ASX/ASA settings, I had icing disabled, in that I mean sliders to zero.I thought originally it may have been a fault with my CJ1 but I have experienced it with the default Baron as well, as well as other add on aircraft.I have REX installed also and this IAS drop to zero problem doesn't happen. On balance though, I love ASA and if this is a problem, I'm sure Damian/Jim and co will look into it.RegardsStuart

Thank you guys,I turned anti-icing on and for to be sure, I also disabled icing in ASA options (set it to zero). First it seemed to solve the problem but after some minutes IAS has frozen again at zero. The only solutions were: to save the flight and restart (with ASA closed) or second, go to weather options (within fsx, ASA still running) and set icing (from light) to zero. My conclusion is, that the antiicing/icing is only part of the problem but there might be another fault somewhere else. I think I had the same problem with REX weather, but less frequently - I'll check this.Harry
