Asa And Airport / Runway List In Fsx View Menu

Featured Replies

I am observing a strange thing with ASA running (does not happen without ASA): When I right-click and select "Tower" or "Runway", I see ALL the airports and runways I passed on the current flight. I just did EFHK-LPPT and have over 90 airports in the list. Same with Runways. When I quit ASA, the list shrinks to the normal "nearest". This seems to be an ASA bug.

Hi,Those lists just show the closest towers or runways. Were you in an area of many airports? Thanks,

With ASA running the list shows ALL airports I have passed on my route. when I switch to ASA and close it, the list is cleared and only the closest show. I have also found that ASA cuts out during long flights. Seems to have something to do with the OOM memory errors. Flight 1: EFHK-RJAA, after 7 hours smoothing stops, then weather disappears randomly (clear skies), then over RJAA OOMFlight 2: EFHK-KJFK, again after about 6-7 hours, first overspeed alert, rapid windshifts, smoothing function stops, weather clears, then during approach to KJFK OOMNote that both times when the smoothing stops and ASA starts behaving erratically, the airport-list mentioned above is cleared and shows only closest airports. None of this happened with ASX or FSX default. I suspect some kind of memory leak. This is on Vista 64 on a QX9650 with 4 MB RAM, flying the PDMG MD-11, WoAI traffic. No other add-ons.For now its back to ASX for me.

happy to report - for completeness sake only - that the above problem has been remedied with beta 355. thank you!
