Awesome Flight With Asa!

I had my first test flight with the new PMDG MD-11 in FS9 (FedEx 1209) and the Wx coming into KMEM was so neat and realistic. It's a night flight, so my visuals were poor, and I can't comment on the depiction, although ASA has been fine in FS9 for me so far.Anyhow, descending though about 12,000 feet I hit some turbulence that was not something I've ever seen in the sim before. The plane, an MD-11 mind you, was actually bumped around the way real aircraft move in gusty environments. In the past, the turbulence was always so smooth and minor, especially in larger aircraft. You'd get an occasional fluid chop, but tonight was actually shifting the plane around. Excellent! ASA is great! :(

OrlaamI appeal to the average user. How did you get your to work. I can not get my destination weather to be accurate. Only my origin weather and then everything in betwen is clear except when I am right over stations. Ocean weather is also clear!

I don't fly over the ocean, so I'm probably always over a station. I just can't handle long flights. As far as I can tell, my Wx is depicting enroute and at my destination. I had cloud cover below me last night and ever flew over a thunderstorm. My destination had clouds I had to descend though and turbulence and the altimeter was accurate (29.58 as listed online as a match to that time). It was a night flight so I can't comment on total depiction since I can't really see too far, but the two day flights I've done with ASA seemed to be working. If I had more time to fly I'd do more testing, but I have little time unfortunately. The next few nights I'll have more, so I can do some tests.Anyhow, I'm using ASA with FS9, and FSUIPC registered 3.8.5. I have all weather cleared in FSUIPC except pressure smoothing. FS is on a seperate drive although I'm not using a network or seperate computer for ASA, it's all on the same machine. I have FSX installed, but I don't really use it and haven't even tried it with ASA.I really don't know what else to say. It seems to work fine for me so far, but perhaps if I flew over the ocean or places without station data I'd get that problem too. Maybe I'll try a flight to TNCM next time I can and see what happens.

I'm using ASA with FSX, and it's working great for me so far. No wind shifts at all. I have flown across the Atlantic (PMDG MD-11F + ASA + FSX), and it was great, no wind shifts, and the weather matched what was predicted.The other flight I have done with ASA was EDDH to EDDM using the PMDG MD-11F. It was overcast and snowing lightly at Hamburg when I took off, which matched the real world conditions, and then when I landed at Munich it was ovc and cold, which also matched. And the winds were perfect, no sudden shifts etc.I don't know how your ASA is configged and what software you run but it is working for me, this average user. I did remove FSUIPC4.dll to a temp directory--didn't want any possible conflicts. I may add it back in later but I like to test methodically and one-thing-at-a-time.
