MD11 FS9 DTG on FMS incorrect

Recommended Posts

Hi,I'm currently about 300 odd nm from my destination (YBBN) and the DTG on the progress page is showing 1006 and increasing. I have stepped through the plan and there are no errors, checked the distance with FSNAV and it is around 300 nm. Any ideas?EDIT: the ETA is increasing as wellEDIT AGAIN: The flight plan wasn't incrementing, so to speak. The aircraft was following it perfectly but the first waypoint was still registering as current. Deleting all previous waypoints fixed the problem - how bizarre.

(please sign with your real name as forum rules require)What happened is that the active waypoint was not sequenced. This will happen if you are off path and passing abeam the active waypoint at a certain distance (more than 8 NM, if I remember correctly). To return on path use a DIR TO to the next waypoint ahead of your position.
