Ushuaia (SAWH) scenery AI elevation help

Recommended Posts

I just installed scenery for Ushuaia airport (SAWH) in Argentina. The scenery is very good, but my AI float about the apron. I have the JABBgl program that fixes that but never used it before. How do I know which BGL do I need to change to get the AI back down on the apron? If anyone has made this fix before could you post the new bgl number? The scenery is the one on flightsim (fuego9.zip) if anyone is interested.

Hi Joseph -I just downloaded and installed that package. The author unfortunately provided no instructions and no contact e-mail.I observed what you see also - at both SAWO and SAWH - although the issue is less pronounced at at SAWO.I am not sure JABBGL alone can rectify the problem as there may be an issue with the default flatten for the two airports also. However, if you wish to try, the AP file in question (which contains both airports along with a number of others) is AP929510.BGL and it is in your Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\Same\scenery\ subfolder. To get the name of the file you need to work on, just open the "stock" airport (example: SAWH) in the AFCAD program and select properties. The name along with the full path to it will be displayed at the bottom of the Afcad screen. It is a shame the author apparently did not do more testing before releasing this file as the airports themselves are quite interesting and have some nice special effects.Hope this helps. :(

That did help thank you, I never thought of looking in AFCAD for the correct vgl file. I will try using JABBgl to fix the floating AI a bit later today. I hope it works beacause the scenery is pretty good, I just love how it looks with the mountains surrounding the airport (with mesh installed). (although I don't really like the square looking hills that are near the runway a SAWH)
