How do I delete a "non-existing" file ??

I have started to get an error when creating a new flight sayingFS2K2 was trying to open a non existing file FS2002Scenergy-j(I`ve put the nearest I can get to the actual file name specified)When I click on Ok I get another message telling me the file doesn`t exist and then loads the location I selected. On "default" airports it seems to load ok but on 3rd party airports it doesn`t always load correctly.I have uninstalled and re-installed FS2002 twice but I still get the error - my question is - can someone advise me how to delete the command thats asking for this non-exosting fileMany thanksGeorge

Well, if default airports are loading okay but 3rd party ones aren't, maybe you're missing something that the 3rd party airports require? When you uninstalled FS did you remove the folders that were left behind as well? Maybe there's something in there that was left behind when FS was uninstalled...

hmmm - I had the same problem till i downloaded AFCAD 1.4 and found out that the cause was probably a bad facility file (in scendb folder) - i found and ran a little utility called scanbgls, this utility is now built into AFCAD 1.4 - which found the corrupted bgl - after which i simply copied the file from my fs2k2 cd.I know you've reinstalled fs2k2 but perhaps one of your addon sceneries is re-corrupting a facility file.worst case is that the file is bad on your cd - but that's not likely or i guess you would have had this problem from the word go.hope this helpsRegards,Mark

I brought FS2002 with me to college today to see how well FS2002 runs on these machines. Weirdest thing is happening, its doing the same thing your talking about! I just installed the game, and loaded it up for the first time and load to Michigan City Muni (KMGC) which I always do on my home computer. I got 3 scenery read errors posted below (To show the weird names its asking for). Seems to be the same thing your having trouble with.

I had the same problem and did a fresh install and now everything appears fine. I have noticed a few posts going up about this very issue. I wonder if we all have downloaded the same thing and ended up corrupting our scenery files?It is hard to say, because I download, add and change files all the time.

This was a fresh install. FS2002 was never installed previously on these college computer lab comps. I just wanted to test how these P4 2GHz with 32MB Matrox G450 compared to my machine. Just I never got to test it since the scenery never loaded :(. Oh well, wasn't really necessary to put FS2002 on these comps anyway.
