744 External Power not being connected

I decided to take the 744 out for a ride today after a lot of 11 flying, and had to wait and wait and wait for the external power to show up after turning the battery and stby pwr on. I eventually tried to start the APU, which took awhile, but eventually got me power to fly. However, after landing, I could not get it to start up.This is the first time I have found behavior like this, and also the first flight in the 747 after I installed the MD11.Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Ground power/air, verify the option is checked in the pmdg menu.Re: APU start after landing.... what indications did you have? Did it fail to show up on the EICAS?

I didn't change any options on the 74, and I didn't even know there was a setting for that, I will check when I get home.On the APU, nothing. Nothing on the EICAS, or any APU GEN run lights... :(
