New Facebook Group In Support of the Aces Team and FS's Future

Recommended Posts

Guest RCAF_Gunner

Francois Dumas has started a group on Facebook in an effort to support the Aces Team members and to help draw Microsoft's attention to the community's concerns:http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=59637588200Until yesterday, I wasn't a Facebook user myself but I thought signing up and joining Francios' group was at least one small thing I could do under the circumstances. The danger here is if the Aces Team members are left to go there seperate ways they will most likely find gainful employment with other software firms (in that sense I hope they do and quickly). However, the experience and talent they've built up over the last few years and brought to bare on improving the FS engine (FS XI is said to have been a core level re-write) will be lost. In turn, it'll likely take some time for a new team to re-learn the lessons, if they're able to, which in itself endangers the success of FS XI if it ever comes to be.As a community I think we need to apply what little pressure we can to Microsoft to re-consider their decision. The higher the number of voices the more likely they may listen. Please consider joining Francois' new group. Thanks,Rick

I agree completely. Now is the time to set aside any past differences at least long enough to add your name to the list. There is no cost involved save a few minutes of time. Once signed up, one need never go there again, and there are NO emails sent out to "every member." Not ever. There is strength in numbers. No one to my knowledge has ever managed to get a "seat count" of actual FS users. This is one way to demonstrate (or not) whether there's a sufficient number of folks who care enough about the Flight Simulator franchise to make any future development work viable.

I second that, now is the time to join forces and make as much noise as we can, maybe they hear us.
