From Dual Core to Quad Core

Recommended Posts

Guest Tom R

So I have the E8500. Now i regret purchasing it a month ago. Since FSX will use more than 2 cores (so ive heard). I looked at the Q8200.I cannot make up my mind! lol Any suggestions? How much better is the q8200 than the q6600?My budget is 200 bucks. Thanks - Tom

Save your cash, and get a good cooler, like this one:http://www.crazypc.com/products/ultra-120_extreme-50983.htmlAnd overclock your E8500 to 4.0GhzYou will lose performance if you go to that Q8200. More cores isn't necessarily the best. You want the fastest overall clock speed.EDITnm, I totally missed your signature. I'm surprised you're not satisfied @ 3.8! Still getting a Q6600 at 3.6 won't be as good as your 8500 @ 3.8If you want better save your moola and get the Core i7 940 and overclock that....then you'll see a difference.
