XML gauge timer?

Recommended Posts

Hi all.I want to build a timer (counting in seconds) into an XML gauge, so that it triggers an event at the end of a given time. Can anyone give me a clue how to go about it?Thanks! :(

Hi,Here's what I do:1. Save the current Zulu time (,minutes) in your own variable (also ,minutes).2. Subtract your variable from the current Zulu time to find out how many minutes have elapsed.3. Trigger your action when the elapsed time reaches your target value.Hope this helps,

Tom,Problem solved - I didn't know how to increment a variable so that the gauge counted up to 10. I got the suggestion for how to do it on the FFDS board, so the gauge now works. Thanks for the suggestion. :(

I should also point out that there is a forum here for such questions in the future, very cleverly disguised with the name "MSFS Aircraft and Panel Design Forum." :(

Thanks for the hint, Bill! (Didn't I see you at the FFDS forum too?!) :(
Yes. I'm everywhere! "You can't hide!" said Mr. Filch, Hogwarts' resident creepy groundskeeper.
