soundlib error

Recommended Posts

Hi,Just downloaded a file from Avsim library, its been there for about 2 weeks or so I think, so relatively new. Have installed in FS2004, but get "soundlib error".."sound file not found", and so cannot load the aircraft. File name is an12bkzh09.zip, (its an An12BK) has any kind person out there had the same error. or could someone please try it?. I`ve downloaded the file twice, and tried installing numerous times.Any help would be welcomed, as it looks a super aircraft. Thank you. Stuart Ramsay

We at Avsim do not normally support files that are uploaded which is why we insist the person uploading provide a email address for support. But since you are asking here I will look into it for you. At first glance it sounds as if you are missing a file. If this is the case you will have to contact the author anyway to find out where the file is.This is a rather huge file what i suggest you do is to open the sound folder of that aircraft NOT THE MAIN FS SOUND FOLDER but the one inside of the aircraft folder than open the sound config file. You will have to go through the lines and look for each file that it uses. I am betting that either one is missing or misspelled this is a common occurrence.
