FS9 (2004) not depicting weather from ASA

Recommended Posts

Guest djedge

Although this may have been covered already and please forgive me if it has... I have just upgraded from as 6.5 to ASA. Weather is not being depicted in FS9 it appears.I have made sure FSUIPC is installed and all weather options turned off. (Unregistered 3.85).Weather downloads fine I believe, however fs9 is not changing to meet the weather conditions.I have also attempted to use the Weather WX config to create weather (A snow storm) and alas, the weather is not updated in FS9, even though ASA says it has been applied. My setup is:Software:FS2004 9.1ASA (build 316)FS Passengers (not running currently)Radar Contact 4.3 for fs9FS Global 2008Ultimate Terrain USA, Canada & Alaska, and EuropeGround Enivironment ProCurrent Airplane: R2F B7e7 United Airlines LiveryOS & hardwareASUS M2A-VM MotherboardAMD X2 5000+ Cpu6 Gigs PNY DDR2-800 (PC-6400)EVGA NVidia 8800 GTS Graphics CardWindows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit Edition SP1

I am flying as I type this and the position is shown as my departure airport (KOAJ) - Lock to closest is checked. On the map page I have LOCK TO FS position checked and it still shows the Departure airport as the position. Also, I installed XGUAGE and it's not updating the airplane's position (Still at the departure airport)How to do I save a log file?Thanks,-Scott

Hi,The log file is automatically generated. It is in your Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\HiFi\ASA folder.

I have the same problem for the second+ FS9 run. When I run it first (from ASA, pressing Start FS button) - everything is ok. But if I then close FS9 (esspecially if it crashes) and then start it again while ASA is running (even form ASA) - weather is not depicted, I see default FS weather. Pressing Refresh button doesn't help. Here's the log:

Hi,I would suggest that you didn't allow for enough time for processing to occur, especially on the manual refresh. From your log everything seems to be working fine. Give ASA 5 minutes or more in heavy airport areas. Thanks,

Hi Hic,So to re-iterate the problem you are experiencing, everything is fine until you shutdown FS9 and restart, then a valid connection and weather control is never successfully restored? We will look into this.Best,
