Here ya go. Ya gotta overclock the CPU to 3.6Ghz, but this will run side by side with a stock i7/965 rig
:( For FSX...I'd put my i7 system side by side with the core 2 system ANY DAY! :(

I wish I could help you but for 600-700 dollars I think you'll be very limited in the way of FSX performance. Especially if you want addons. At the absolute minimum you need to clock a core 2 (duo or quad) above 3.6GHz to begin to see FSX perform well on high settings. To do that reliably requires quality parts, especially the motherboard and power supply. You can get the best cpu in the world and it won't clock stable at all without a strong MB and PSU. You could reuse your graphics card for a while, what you have is not close to the best but not too bad either. If your RAM's older than a couple years you'll want to upgrade that too. $700 is cutting it real close. -jk

Builders will see in their personal rigs a subjective improvement reflecting a direct ratio of 1:1, based on a performance/dollars wasted (ahhh, I mean spent!) metric.

I can totally see it being a waste for you, Sam.
