After Testing around with my configuration

CPU: P.4 Prescott 3.0 FSB 800Mhz Vid : PowerColor HD3850 512MB AGP8xMem:1.5gb different brands 2*256(matched) 2*512(UnMatched)

So in Cpu Z dram freq : 133mhz CL : 2.5FSB:DRAM : 3:2Singelchannelafter a while and som reading in here I removed the unmatched.2*256(matched)dram freq : 200mhzCL : 3FSB:DRAM : 1:1DualChannel

After this I got almost twice the amount of FPS(40~) on Maxxed out settings in FS2004 same location plane etcand my GPU started to work more(40%~) 10-20% before and CPU was still working at 50-60% as it had been doing in Both configurations

I also compared with the pmdg on different setting and the 512MB Beat 1.5gb all the time except when I was in virtual cockpit,I experienced that the GPU worked less when I was in the 747PMDG and procesor never above 50% Soo This means that my Memory are super bottlenecking my computer?

{QUESTION}I Think Im gonna go to buy 2*1gb or 4*512 of Pc3200 and see how it works out butWhat does this mean:

Memory: 4 DDR DIMM Slots: DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, and DDR4

2 DDR DIMM Slots Supports PC3200 (DDR400), Max. 2GB,

4 DDR DIMM Slots Supports PC2700 (DDR333) /

PC2100 (DDR266), Max. 3.5GB,This is from the Manufacturs Manual, does it mean that Im not available to use 4*512 and have them at the speed of 200mhz ?

I have an old Abit IS7 running 4x512 at 400Mhz/Dual channel without a problem. Don't know why yours wouldn't. But toss those 512 sticks. That config should have run OK in dual channel, as long as the 256 and 512 sets were slot matched. It appears the downshift to single channel really starved the system. That, you Don't want.

I just tested and switched slots of the 2*256MB so A1 + A2 = 400MHZB1 + B2 = 400MHZ All slots support PC3200 but if I use all four slots that wouldent change ?

Normally, no. The number of slots in use should Not affect the speed at which the mobo can run its ram at these stock speeds. Once a builder gets into overclocking ram, it can TheN make a difference . . . but at 333/400, nah. No way. Unless the mobo is setup to protect itself from its own weak electrical being. It might Need to declock to 333 with all 4 slots filled cuz it just don't got the electrical gumption to get the job done at 400. Ya sure you're not ready to build a new box? Wayyy less that $1K will get you within 15% of those $3K i7 rigs.

Thanks for the fast reply! very helpful =) ,Ill try with 2gb DDR400 I can pick it up pretty cheap, and will be usefull to use as a desktop computer anyway =)though as u say I cant nearly get the same result as building a new Rigg with 5(?) year old thech.which is sad of how good computer u can get for a 1k$ :S
