Download problem

Recommended Posts

Hello Chase,I remember you mentioning that you use Firefox, and wonder if perhaps you or Matt can help me with a small problem.I have a new computer that came with Netscape in addition to IE. Both work well for downloads, no problem at all, either using a simple save function or with GetRight download manager.I also have ZoneAlarm installed and WebWasher - neither one blocks the downloads.Intrigued by Firefox, it is now installed and being used on this computer. It works very well and is very appealing compared to the other browsers. However, downloads are not possible. This is what I get when attempting to download a file:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/104655.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/104656.jpgThis is before GetRight is launched, so I assume that the download manager is not the cause of the problem.I have removed WebWasher, so that is not causing the problem, and ZoneAlarm as well.Cookies are allowed for: - avsim.com - avsim.net - library.avsim.com - library.avsim.net - forums.avsim.com - forums.avsim.net - forum.avsim.com - forum.avsim.netAs you can see, I have covered all the possibilities. Also, within Firefox, I have enabled Java and Javascript, in case those are being used somehow (but, I have checked "Block Pop-up windows", I just noticed). This is not an important problem at all, as I can easily download using another browser. But, I would be grateful for any indications, as Firefox is very nice and I would like to stop using IE altogether.Best regards.Luis

Hm. URL encoding evil, methinks; you have an accented character (8-bit) in your username which might be doing this. I'll investigate and get back to you.
