You find a lot of information on FSUIPC4 and WIDEFS on Pete Dowson's support forum: http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54A special thread on that forum with important notes on FSX and WIDEFS: http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?...fd3a6d9adc142aa
Thank you. I also was trying to find out if these are the only alternatives to accomplishing this. Is FSUIPC and WIDEFS the deFacto standard?RegardsBob

Seems Active Sky for FSX is using SimConnect to interface FSX and not FSUIPC. See the Active Sky support forum here on Avsim. There is a FAQ thread over there: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=193994 with Q about running AS on a client computer. Regarding other add ons I guess you could visit the support sites.
