Yea Meatwater, I prefer RC over PFE, ,but there are two things that have a advantage over RC and there kinda connected, is the taxi instructions and the taxi guidance gauge. And I think the new RC5 is going to use detailed taxi instructions and I can live without the gauge.Peter, if you can ,tell me exactly whats happening when you try to install. Where does it go wrong. Bob
I did all as per your instuctions , and I installed the part1 .exe file to winwood which went ok but then I installed the other 4 files one by one. and when I looked in winwood a lot of the files were there but not in the numbered files as per the original winwood. Then I fired up Flight sim and then rcv4 and I got the message that File0 was not present and rcv4 shut down.I thought that a spanned set of files auto downloaded once the initial .exe file was run but as mentioned I had to click on each of the 4 files and then downloaded till all 4 were installed but this did not happen. Thanks for your concernPeter

Peter, the only file( which is actually a folder) you should right click and extract is the one you renamed mwrc4_vocpack.zip Thats it all the rest wile install automatically. Make sure you have named them right.

Thanks MeatWater for enhancing RC4 for free, great job.

Hi all!just a quick tip for those who made a backup of the original voices:decide which pilot and copilot voices you would like to hear and copy those back from the original folders - then you have in the cockpit "normal voices" and the rest is covered with the new ones. for me, i like the voices from Dale Collins as pilot and Bryan Opalka as my copilot. which are the folder 55 and 56 (but don't forget to mack a backup from the new ones, in case you want to revert back or change pilot/copilot voices!).so, now you have both, the standard voices in the cockpit and the new ones as ATC!Thanks again to MeatWater for this great update!cheersharald

Good hint! Maybe a change of the txt files inside those folders would allow to ADD them (maybe change their name to designate them as pilot voices)?

I am testing a new version of the package at this moment that has a 20% acceleration giving even better results. In some cases even more would have been possible, but you may understand that I did not want to go through all 80.000 files again :( The 20% setting appears to be the best for all sets. RC5 will most likely have VERY realistic sentence compilation as there will be no pauses at all at the beginning/the end of a sample. These will be added during playback as required, which should provide the most fluent and human-like generated ATC ever in computer games :( Next step with this new package will be the inclusion (that korekt inglisch?) of 4 dedicated pilot voices that will have a different effect (not completely dry as the default voices but slightly towards some sort of intercom sound (basically a low cut EQ). Will make a spectrometer test with a couple of intercom recordings I have and set the filter accordingly. The new package will have an idiot-proof installer (I'm NOT stating that those who had problems installing are idiots, but that even idiots might be able to install this :( )Should time allow, the new package should be online by the weekend.

Nick, I am noticing that with respect to the original files I had, some are missing in each folder. For example the callsing "JETSET". Did you include the files produced after the initial release of RC4?Thanks.

Included are the latest versions that were available at the time of production start (some months ago).
