Panama Weather last night

Recommended Posts

Guest

I took off from Howard AFB in Panama yesterday around 7:30 last evening and got to about 15,000ft when I noticed some NASTY clouds ahead. Next thing I knew was I was losing altitude FAST! Couldn't recover and went into the sea. I'm ok now though. Never experienced that before and was wondering if anyone else may have been in the area close to that time and noticed similar weather?

I had the same thing happen a couple of days ago when flying into that line of T-storms that moved through Alabama. I was in the Super Connie and had the engines wide open and still just fell from the sky. Tommy

Thanks Tommy. Yea, I opened them up all the way in the 747 too as I lost alt. and speed. I wonder what would have happened to someone really flying through that stuff?!!! Bad news. Thanks for letting me know. William
