GMax face selection and rotation

Recommended Posts

Hi,I was just looking at this video tutorial where this guy shows how to put textures on a simple house that had been turned into am editable poly. my question is the following,When he is assigning material ID's, he can select many faces at once, and then assign all those faces the same ID...how does he do that? When i click one face, it doesn't even change color and if i click on a second one, it de-selects the previous one.My other question, when he rotates his model, the whole grid rotates, when i rotate my items here, only my model rotates. How do you rotate without actually changing the properties?Regards,Marc

Hold 'ctrl' to select more than one face (or object etc).Selected faces don't change colour by default, but you can turn this on if it makes life easier (Viewport Configuration: Shade Selected Faces.)It sounds like you are rotating the object rather than the viewport. You want 'Arc Rotate' in the bottom right corner.
