Flying MD-11 raw data

Recommended Posts

Guest Llanero_429

Hi all.How can I fly the MD-11 using VHF Nav equippment as a navigation source? This is what I do: I tune a specific VOR station on NAV/RAD FMC page, and select a desired radial, then I select the *VOR ARM (white VOR ARMED message appears on FMA), but The plane overshoots the radial. That happends flying either HDG o FMS NAV selected mode until radial to capture. The aircraft continues route or heading without capture. Other way I tried was activating on MENU FMC page the NAV/RAD feature, with same negative results. Any help? Thank you.

Hi,(post your name please)VOR can be armed above 18000ft.For capture and tracking the aircraft altitude has to be below 18000ft.Was this the case?Harry
