Using another network PC to handle AI traffic

Recommended Posts

Guest PoRL

When flying around or at airports I like to see lots of traffic, however the loss in frame rates kills me!is it possible to use another PC on my wireless network at home solely to handle the AI traffic (whether default or one of the commercial solutions)? If so, would this get around the loss in frame rate (and can you give me a pointer as to where to start??)Apologies if this has been answered / asked before. I did a search before I posted and couldn't find anything similar...!PoRL

There is no way to do this using default FSX. It's possible to write an application that control AI traffic on a networked PC, but I'm personally not aware of any such existing application. I also don't think there would be much of a performance gain, since all the aircraft still have to be rendered in FS, and that probably requires more power.
