I have the same problem, and I cant figure out the .ini file, i dont even see any of the services in there. If they are in there (which im sure they are), they are called something other than "google maps" or "yahoo maps".Im running xp sp 2 with fsx deluxe gold edition (includes acceleration pack).

I got it working!!wow this thing is awesome. A million thanks to the man that made this program, and everyone involved in supporting it, and helping newcomers get into this. This makes FSX sooooo much better. I still dont have any real clue as to how to go about tweaking things. is there a forum where people share their different .ini and graphics configurations and stuff. I cant wait to see how much better I can get it to look, cuz it already looks great.Ive had fsx for several months, and barely played it, this makes me want to play it more. Thanks again, and thanks to Ed Truthan for creating the set up guide. Great work you guys. All i did was uninstall and reinstall it. thats pretty much all i did so i dont really know what was wrong before.

It's a bit of an individual thing with your PC Nightshift. What works for one doesn't work for another.I got rid of the watermask as I found in the area I fly, it was better without it.Try tweaking your fsx xfg file using the tweaks suggested in the manual and on this forum. Don't have to much in the way of extended terrain rings, etc.One of the biggest differences comes from tweaking the level mapping in the proxyuser.ini Just replace the highest number but one with the highest number and see what happens (Ed has written a good piece on level mapping).I use FS9 so can't provide much help or examples for fsx. You just have to pay with it for a while trying a few little tweaks here and there and seeing if you like the outcome (or your system will take it).I understand with FSX, you need to limit your framerate for best results - 20 should be about right (depending on your system, though the opposite applies to fs9.I think I've done what most people have, just played around with various tweaks and restoring if I get no improvementsHappy tweaking.IAN
