Bob, did any of the trust dll dialogs occur before the CTD? If not, try this: http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/FSX_Trust_DLL_Policy or this: http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/How_t...SX_DLL.XML_File
Dan, Yes, I think so. First time I tried to bring up the plane two messages popped up asking about DLL's. I answered affirmatively to both, and these messages no longer appeared in any of the attempts to bring up the plane later.I'm about to uninstall and reinstall, but since I'm running Vista with its crazy security, I will try running the installer manually 'As Administrator'. I'll report back after I see it this works.Regards, Bob Schiff

Dan, Uninstall/reinstall did not work, so I went to the link about corrupted DLL.XML you gave me. I'm pretty sure this is the problem since I own Wilco/FeelThere's Citation X (which works fine), and my copy of the file seemed corrupted since it would not display and an error message appeared.Right now I have made my own Dll.Xml but I have not yet put it in the directory with FSX.CFG. First I need to know what will happen to the file already there, and if I have to reinstall the CitationX wouldn't that corrupt the new file like the old? Thanks for your help and regardsBob Schiff

Make the original a backup just for grins. In theory, the Wilco product may corrupt the new file on reinstall but unless you have to remove and reinstall I think you are okay. I recall the issue between Wilco and PMDG was contentious unfortunately and I am do not represent PMDG so I just pass along stuff I read and the benefit of my own experience. I don't own any Wilco products, but I don't think you are going to run into anything here you can't fix once you understand the problem.OBTW, I turn off the UAC in Vista but I try to keep track of what goes on in my workstation. I just couldn't stand those nanny dialog boxes. Sure makes doing anything easier.

Dan, It worked!! Thanks much. I kept the CitationX dll.xml backup, and thought I'd rename it when I wanted to use it (can't fly both at the same time) :( . Now its time to learn how to use this bird!Regards, Bob

My v1.20 MD-11 has now stopped working altogether...it fails to load in the Aircraft Select screen.I have done "the routine" of uninstall, del dll.xml and fsx.cfg etc. etc. three times now, still no effect.Maybe I should get memtest86? I can't fathom what is the matter. I really am at a loss on it. Maybe I should ditch Vista64 and put XP64 on there.
