Take Off Problem

Recommended Posts

Guest

I don't know what I did but I can't get any of my planes, other than the Cessna to take off. I have recalibrated my joystick, checked the settings for controls, and even made sure that I had the right flap settings. No luck. What do I need to do? I've been grounded for 2 days.

Try manually clearing your weather in the weather screen. For some reason I think the sim was misreading the altimeter setting, thus making the air essentially a zero density, presenting problems of course for both thrust and lift. If not you might have to reinstall.P4 1.8768 ram 80 gig hardriveVisiontek Ti4 4600CH yoke/pedalsElite Multi quadrant19" inch monitor-Soundblaster PCI 512Win XPInstrument rated ASEL -236 hoursAOPALawyerPilots Bar Association"Men without dreams are never free, twas thus this way and thus will ever be."

Well what exactly are your aircraft not doing? Maybe you should adjust your FSUIPC settings under technical for elevator/rudder spiking elimination.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Insufficient data.1. Do they taxi?2. If they do, do they accelerate to the correct take off speed?3. If they do, is the elevator operating properly (look in chase plane view).4. If it does do you notice ANY pitch effect if you apply elevator control?boneshttp://fsaviation.net

G'day,I have occasionally had a similar problem with prop aircraft when I somehow 'uncouple' my prop pitch, or make it unautomatic. See if you can adjust your prop pitch with the mouse, and check out your reality settings and control assigments. Basically if the pitch is too fine on the prop it can't bite enough out of the air to give you thrust/speed.Good luckMark Underwood(Adelaide, Australia)

Have you trimmed your aircrafts correctly for take off? With extreme "negative trimming" (I don't know the correct expression)you never will get your planes from the ground. If you have no joystick buttons assigned for trimming you can use the keyboard: num-pad key 7....trim downnum-pad key 1....trim upWolfgang
