Recommended Posts

I have fsbuild but I cannot get on with it. Is it possible to obtain coroute plans that are actually flown in real life? Inparticular Australia. Many thanks.

Such plans (long range) typically change daily - due to winds. In US we have excellent website flightaware.com for the source of such info.

Take a look at the flight plan forum (153).

Are you flying within australia? or to australia from somewhere else?If it's option 2: take a look at the following.http://flightaware.com/live/airport/YSSYhttp://www.airservicesaustralia.com/custom.../text.asp?ver=1http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/custom...cks/ausots1.gif(These mostly deal with longhaul flex routes which possibly change every day)To convert them to Co-Routes hit up:http://www.simroutes.com/fb2/ParseRoute.aspx and put (copy/paste or type) the route you find into that and then download in PMDG format. Place that into the PMDG flightplans folder.Trent.

flightaware.com route description are in a format that FSBuild accepts. You might have to change the version number of a SID or STAR. Just copy the route from the form in flightaware and paste it into the route box in FSB. Add airports, set up your aircraft stuff (times and aircraft type), and export to FS and PMDG formats. Here's a scheduled departure report from YSSL :Aircraft Boeing 777-200 (twin-jet) (H/B772/Q)Origin Sydney Int'l (YSSY - track or info)Destination Narita Int'l (RJAA - track or info) Other flights between these airportsRoute RIC H202 MDG H78 NBR H78 HM B462 PY B586 BAFFY A1 ORGAN Y231 VENUSDate Wednesday, Apr 08, 2009Duration 9 hours 5 minutesTry entering (pasting) it into FSB and see how it builds it.
