I am aligning my airport image using existing runway, but then it all depends on accuracy of that runway. what is a more accurate way of aligning my reference image?

You can enter the coordinates supplied by the text file of your map photo if you are using SBuilderX. I don't have the ADE help file in front of me, but in there it describes how to enter the geographic coordinates supplied by the text file Sbuilder creates for a map. I actually did this not long ago for an airport I was working on and it workes perfectly. Make it a lot easier to properly align ground polys and taxiways. Go to the ADE website and download the tutorial or instructions for a more in depth explaination.

I have added an image but now finding ade quite stuttery and late responsive having tough time editing the runways and taxiways.also, how do I select and move multiple objects? a terminal is made up of multiple objects whose relative positions I dont want to disturb

Shift + left click usually selects multiple items. I'm not sure if buildings can be manipulated that way though. If you're doing a screen shot of a fairly large monitor, you're going to be left with a rather large jpg if you don't crop it down some. Also, using more compression, although it lowers the image quality (not really perceptible on a monitor) also gets the file size down. ADE seems to be happy with the 200-300k image sizes that I import when modifying airports.

You can't move multiple objects at this time. Large background images will bog you down, especially if you rotate the view. I will use a lower res overall image and a series of smaller hi-res images, and only have the the hi-res one I want set as visible. Even then you can get into problems if the total size of all your images is too big.I also use SBuilderX to get Google or VirtualEarth georeferenced backgrounds which are easy to put into ADE. You can also use other sources of runway data, such as AIP or FAA database, to verify where the main runway is, and then use that to align images. That won't work for the small typically private airstrips. For that have to trust Google. FAA data are often wrong. IIUC private airstrip owners submit their data to FAA for inclusion in the AFD, and I guess they haven't used a GPS to get their ARPs. I also have the old DAFIF data from the last cycles before NGA took it private which has runway data and NAVAIDs in it.scott s..
