Unable to get the File Library to open.

Hi.This morning I was trying to get to the file library page. I tried it in IE8 and Firefox, but both timed out.When I did manage to get to it in IE, when searching for the file I know was there it kept timing out on me.I did clear my cache and browsing history in both browsers, but this made no difference.I am in the UK, so trying this in the morning is usually better before the US comes on-line for their downloads.Anyone know whats happened.Many thanks.

Hi Tom,I can confirm some connect isse of some kind this morning. The library will not respond at all for me, using IE7.EDIT at 1525z- It's back, working fine.Thanks,

I find accessing the library has become a very hit and miss affair. It struggles to even open the page far more than it lets you in.Russell.

We haven't changed anything in the library. This appears to result from the security changes that MS seems to make to IE once a month. Firefox has no issues with our library and IE is getting increasingly bad at dealing with it.

I just got my first download. Took over five minutes from logon to access library, then almost five to access file. Download itself was very fast. IE7

I can get to the library, but it's extremely slow. Tried to search for a AI paint but gave up after waiting 10 minutes!

Ok Tom, that's fair comment. Please excuse my ignorance but..do I just install Firefox, meaning does it run alongside IE. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a thicko where the operating systems concerned.Russell.

Hello,Either with Firefox -Opera or IE7 the library is not functionning.(problem for login or download)And this is a recurrent problem some days from two months ago.I don't think any MS security probs or updates are the main factor of those disfunctionnements.Regards.

I too am having problems with AVSIM with both IE8 and Firefox.Ken

Very, very slow. This has been happening to me on and off for a while (weeks). One would think that if this is an IE7 issue, other sites would have similar problems, but that isn't what I'm seeing. Of the dozens of sites I regularly visit, the AVSIM library is the only one where this problem is a regular issue.

I am using IE6 and have the same problem -- timeout accessing the library. I get a response from http://library.avsim.net very quickly, but any accesses from that page (e.g.: any searches, What's New, etc.) timeout or take minutes to respond. My analysis says that's not a browser issue.

Its been very slow for the past few weeks. It is very frustrating having to sit there and wait for a while, and there's nothing we can do about it. :(
