FSX Gauge Checker Program?

Recommended Posts

I have a friend who is trying to install a lot of FS9 planes into FSX. He does not have FSPanelStudio. He needs a way to determine what gauges are missing in FSX that are needed for the planes panels. Once he finds the missing gauges he can then copy them from FS9/Gauges into FSX/Gauges. Is there any program that will look at the panel.cfg's and determine the missing gauges? I use FSPS but he prefers not to buy it, unless it's needed. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Bob, greetings from a cheapskate sympathizer!Tell your friend the free demo version of FS Panel Studio will report any missing gauges as it tries to load a panel. Then when the panel appears, blue boxes also identify the intended positions and file names of the missing items. Very handy tool and the FSPS folks are to be commended for providing so much functionality in a free product.John

Hi John. Thanks for that info. I did not know the demo had that feature. After he found out what he needed to do he finally broke down and bought FSPS. He has joined the crowd now! For some reason he chose to buy the CD rather than downloading it. He will get it in 5 days. I bought my FSPS since day 1. I love it. Ed sure has a GREAT program. I hope the next revision will fix some of the problems with the missing bmp's and better XML capabilities. Best regards, Bob.
