When you want to set you're yoke to let's say "gear" to button 1 you can slide the repeat slider to where ever you want it -what exackly does that do and when is it criticle to have it set right -i don't really under stand the repeat 6thing----Louis

Louis,The repeat slider tells FS that you would like to be able to press and hold the assigned button and have FS recognize that as multiple subsequent presses of that button. The slider allows for differing repetition rates of input to the function assigned. For example, it is not necessary/a good idea to set repeat rates on gear, flaps, or spoilers, because you want to know that pressing that button once deploys/retracts the control surface one increment up or down. Repetition of an input can come in quite handy on things like elevator trim when you have forgotten to trim for takeoff or need to begin final approach descent and make a sizeable trim change with a heavy workload.Play around with the rates to see what suits you.Kevin
