Problem with CTRL-SHFT commands

Recommended Posts

Guest

I recently upgraded from Win98SE to Windows XP. FS2002 and all associated applications (FSMeteo, FSGarmin, ProFlight, etc.) are running fine, except that CTRL-SHFT commands are not being recognized. The only response I am getting now from most of those commands is a beep emanating from the PC speaker (not through the SoundBlaster like all other sounds). Can anybody help me solve this problem? Thanks,Rob P.

You don't have "caps lock" enabled, do you? R-

Thanks for your reply. Caps Lock is off...I tried it both ways, with no difference. However, I did discover that the problem I described only occurs when CTRL and SHIFT on the same side of the keyboard are pressed - if I use the CTRL and SHIFT keys on opposite sides of the keyboard, it works normally (i.e. L-CTRL + R-SHFT or R-CTRL + L-SHIFT work OK).This may be a hardware issue...I discovered this by playing with the keyboard assignments in FS2002.Rob
