New 737-800 FFX not showing up

Recommended Posts

I first want to thank everyone for all the help with my last question, however I have a new one. I installed the 737-800 BWI Base package and the AA, DL, CO repaints and dropped them into FS like I have done so many times before and I can not get them to show up. Any suggestions would be great, I have already checked to make sure a file wasn't missing or something but I seem to remember you can't have to file names the same and I do not so I am quit puzzled. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks muchShayne

You need to d/l the textures separately, as the only ones included in the base package are the BWI textures. The aircraft.cfg folder is configured for the other textures, however. (Might need to adjust it to match the paints, though).Darrell

I can't even get the original base package to show up, it is the strangest thing. I have tried to download it again and I have verified that all the files are there in the right structure it jsut isn't showing up, its the weirdest thing.

I will have to check that may be it but I do have the other textures downloaded. I am at work now so I will check when I get back home. If I remember correctly you can not have to planes with the same texture names, is that correct or am I wrong.Shayne

Shayne, I had the same problem when I first downloaded the FFX 737-800. I checked and realized that the main BWI 737-800 folder contains a subfolder called "bwi-737-800". It is this subfolder that needs to be placed in the FS2k2 aircraft folder, otherwise the plane will not show up in the game. It took me a while to see this simple mistake on my part. If you want to add textures, for example Continental 737-800, just place the folder titled "texture.COA" in the BWI-737-800 aircraft folder and that is it. The "aircraft.cfg" file(in the BWI 737-800 aircraft folder) is already configured to accept the new Continental Airlines textures.Anyway, good luck.Regards,Fausto (happycapt)
