Walt Disney World

Recommended Posts

Hi all,I was just flying around Orlando and the thought came to me again.Has any of the very talented scenery makers we have in our hobby ever took on the making of Disney World? OR, is this a big no-no with Disney. There are several buildings depicting WDW but they are default. It was once said by Disney CEO that they are their own country and they don't need any outside help (or words to that effect), so I thought maybe they would not let anyone infringe on their copyrights, trademarks, etc.I would also like to see the Daytona 500 track in Daytona right next door to the Daytona airport.Anyway, that's one of the things I think about while flying in that area.Any comments welcome.

Guest Id Rather Be Flying

I myself have contemplated creating all the Nascar tracks myself. Maybe I will get motivated and make that happen.

Thanks to Disney, there's a TFR over both their "lands"...so you get to do what real pilot's cant.

We shouldn't think that not being able to fly over the Magic Kingdom is an example of Corporate arrogance. This is a valid safety issue, even without people who intentionally make this a dangerous age. The Grand Canyon is another "attraction" for overflights, but there are far too many examples of crashes there. The consequences of a potential crash in a crowded theme park far outweigh any "freedom of the skies" issues.

You CAN fly over Disney World in a general aviation aircraft. You just have to be above 3500ft. I live in Ft. Lauderdale and half own a plane at Kissimme.X

Now really......Do you think the Air Force or the Mickey Patrol can scramble a interceptor plane in the time it takes to decend 3500ft.Disney and the FAA are living in a fantasy world, maybe to much Pixie Dust.

Oddly enough, I seem to remember someone did create WDW in FS5 a long time ago. If it can be done once, it can be done again. Rob D.

Good ole WDW (or as I refer to it, "Rat Land"). They are so secretive and afraid of ruining there "family" image over there that they have been caught not calling the local law enforcement authorities for crimes committed on their property and the public only found out after the local network affiliates exposed them.
