B777ER

Quick question about the MelJet 777 ZFW.

Recommended Posts

Am I reading the aircraft cgf file correctly. Here is the Weight section of the MelJet 777 file:[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]max_gross_weight = 656000 // (pounds)empty_weight = 301900 // (pounds)reference_datum_position = 0, 0, 0 // (feet) distance from FlightSim Reference position: (1/4 chord, centerline, waterline)empty_weight_CG_position = 0, 0, 0 // (feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from specified datummax_number_of_stations =50station_load.0 = 130000,0.000000,0.000000,0.000000 // Total Payload (pounds)Now, is the ZFW 301900 or do you also add the station load weight, i.e., Total Payload weight of 130000 to it as well or is that figure already figured into the 301900 weight figure? Seems to me that a ZFW of 301900 for a 772ER is a little low or is it? Thanks all.

The empty weight is 301900 lbs. The 'station_load.0' weight(130000) is added to the 301900 lbs. This sum of these two values results in the zero fuel weight. So, the ZFW would be 431900 lbs. Then you would add fuel to this amount to give you the takeoff weight.
