June 29, 200916 yr I just purchased a 22 inch wide screen monitor. I am running the optimal resolution 1920 X 1080. The objects on the desk top are round, but the sim gauges are squashed. Is there any way of making them normal?? My first experience with wide screen. hope it wasn't a bad choice. Thanks for any suggestions.Ernest

Black areas are unused portions of my triple monitors so as to simulate a single wide screen monitor. This is the PMDG 747- note the Lower Eicas/ Eicas Sw Panel/ Misc Sw Panel tucked in on the right. Normally they are only visible on command - here they are available full time. CDU works well here too.I think the whole screen also looks more businesslike! Especially on a plane that has lots of round, 'steam' gauges!Save the flight- then you can come back to this without further effort!Alex Reid
June 29, 200916 yr Hi, Have been running 22" TFT for some time now, I was advised to use 1680x1050 or 1280x800.I use the second one no problems, certainly makes a difference to flt sim.Brian H
