FYI.It's well described, however, I was taught that the inbound leg in a crosswind should have the Wind Correction Factor * 3 of the outbound leg, not *2 as he says. This makes sense as you don't apply correction in the turns, so you have to compensate for 3 legs over the one leg... clear as mud eh :) http://www.pilotlist.org/zahar/howto.htmRichard

The aim will give you a technique for holding in winds also.(airmans manual)
